Having raised more than $1M in the first dozen years Team Samaritan House is back for 2023 to assist in the now-critical mission of serving homeless in Denver and throughout Colorado.

We are back with many team members for 2023, continuing the tradition of riding Ride the Rockies and this year participating in a bike ride across Iowa.

RAGBRAI, [the Des Moines] Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is more than just a bike ride, it is an epic eight-day rolling festival of bicycles, music, food, camaraderie, and community. It is the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world.

Over the years, I have recruited team members, ridden may other single-day organized rides, and ridden innumerable full-day non-organized rides mostly sporting my Team Samaritan House jersey.  We all wear this jersey with pride because of the shared struggles to help homeless.  But we wear the jersey with pride also to spot one another on rides when we might be training solo. It's a great group of giving men and women who I call my brothers and sisters because we are all deeply contributing to better community.   

As you consider an amount to donate, consider your bank account and consider how much YOU will benefit by following God's directive to work hard and to assist those less fortunate than ourselves!  Since I joined TSH, I've often thought of the old saying ...  There but for the Grace of God Go I.  Please be generous to those less fortunate as God directed us to do.
