Welcome to My Personal Page - Mat Aschenberg
Dear Friends,
Last year, I teamed up with Team Samaritan House. This a group of nearly 100 cyclists, men and women, committed to raising awareness of and support for the Samaritan House homeless shelter. It’s been such a privilege to be a part of a team that is genuinely committed to helping the homeless.
The Samaritan House is one of the longest running homeless shelters in Colorado. It provides food, shelter, and job placement assistance to men, women, veterans and families to help break the cycle of homelessness and help those in need in northern Colorado. I often ride through downtown Denver, and see numerous homeless people sleeping under bridges and in tents along the river. These are our neighbors, alone, hungry and forgotten. The Samaritan House works to help them, one meal at a time, one bed at a time.
I’m riding with Team Samaritan House again this year, and I’m hoping you’ll partner with me to help the homeless. You can partner with me in two ways.
First, please pray for us. Please pray for our safety and for the success of our mission.
Second, please consider making a donation. I’m working to raise $2,000 this year. The funds will go directly to support the shelter services operated by Catholic Charities. More than emergency food, shelter and clothing, each of these shelter locations offers extended-stay programs for men, women and families to help break the cycle of homelessness and restore their hope and regain their sense of self-sufficiency.
Thank you for your love and support!
