One Team, One Dream!!
Dear Friends,
For the past thirteen years, Samaritan Cycling has participated in sanctioned cycling events in Colorado during the summer cycling season. Our cycling team has raised a cumulative $1.9 million to provide food, clothing and shelter to those experiencing homelessness in Colorado.
We have also expanded the team to over 100 riders and will not only be participating in all the major cycling events in Colorado during the cycling season but also rides outside the state of Colorado covering the western half of the U.S.
Our 2024 goal is to increase our ability to raise awareness for the crisis of homelessness through more opportunities to serve meals to the homeless at the Samaritan House, and raise more money for those experiencing homelessness. If you are someone you know would like to serve dinner to the those experiencing homelessness, contact me at tom.schwein@samaritancycling.org and I can connect you to those who can get you access to the Sam House.
Some of you may not know my story. Nearing the finish line of Ride the Rockies in 2015, I crashed face first at 30 miles per hour. I was very lucky, surviving with 8 fractures in my face, none of which required surgery. I believe God spared me from almost certain death or permanent brain damage, and that I am still here on earth because my mission is not yet completed.
I sincerely appreciate all of you who have donated to our cause over the past thirteen years, but I come to you again and ask for your generous support. Remember, you are not doing this for me, but for those in need.
"If you are what you are meant to be, you will set the world on fire." St. Catherine of Siena
God bless you for your generous support!
