2026 Team Samaritan Athlete - Christian Castaneda
Over the past 15 years, Team Samaritan cyclists and runners have raised over $2.2 million for Catholic Charities’ Shelter Services, making a significant impact in the fight against homelessness. Our mission is to change the narrative of homelessness one mile at a time. We ride and run to raise critical funds and awareness for Samaritan House, which provides life-changing resources to individuals and families in need in Northern Colorado, Western Slope, and the Denver Metro Area.
Opened in November 1986 as the first building in the nation built specifically to serve people experiencing homelessness, Samaritan House has been a Denver staple for 40 years. Today, our focus is primarily on serving women, families and veterans who are experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.
Samaritan House has partnered with Every Child Pediatrics to provide high-quality medical care to the children who call Samaritan House home. This is believed to be the first pediatric clinic in the country to be located inside a shelter and is providing children with free medical and behavioral health care. This groundbreaking initiative is part of a comprehensive approach that combines primary care and mental health services through screening, communication and coordination.
Join my campaign to support our neighbors and transform lives across our state!
May Gods Peace be with you always!
