Welcome to My Personal Page
Samaritan Cycling is back for our 16th year! I am proud to be a new member of a cycling team that raises both awareness of the homelessness crisis and much needed funds for the Samaritan House shelters in Northern Colorado. The money we raise provides food, clothing, shelter, counseling, education and life-skills for our neighbors who are working to rebuild their lives.
The "path to self sufficiency" is primarily facilitated through its Extended Stay Program that typically lasts 6 to 9 months and pairs individuals with a case manager to create an individualized plan. Residents have access to a computer lab, on site career skills training, money management, and job placement. The ultimate goal is to graduate into permanent housing.
Notably, 99% of participants in the Client Services and Veterans programs, do not return to a shelter once they leave.
If you are ever interested in volunteering at one of the locations, please reach out to me and or others on the team. The work done at the Samaritan House Shelters is amazing!
I sincerely appreciate your donation to our cause. Anything helps from $10, $25, $50, $100, or more.
Together we can make a difference for those who are experiencing homelessness.
Thank you for your generous support!
Sincerely,
Jim Strunc
