In June I will hopefully be participating in Ride the Rockies with Team Samaritan House. While I love to ride bicycles and enjoy the company of the many friends it has brought me, I’m riding for a bigger cause, helping those in need through the fund raising efforts of Team Samaritan House. I find it more challenging to raise money for the homeless as we can tell ourselves that they brought it on themselves, their lazy or drug addicts or they chose to live this way. I will tell you that in some cases, this is true but there are many more who are families, veterans and women in need. Team Samaritan House has raised over $1M for the cause over the last 10 years and I'm proud to help them achieve their goals. In this difficult times the homeless need our help more than ever.
