Welcome to My Personal Page - John Milewski
Dear Friends and Family,
This will be my 9th year in participating in the Ride the Rockies bicycle ride in Colorado 6/12/22 - 6/17/22. Again, I will be riding with Team Samaritan House (TSH), to raise money for the Samaritan House in Denver, CO. For the past 9 years I have been working with the Samaritan house and experiencing how they contribute toward helping the homeless regardless of sex, age, color or religion.
As you see, especially over the past 2 years, you see the homeless situation as a “non-ending story” in our world. We have all been blessed with having good families, friends and mentors that have helped us down the right path. Many, have not had such luck. The Samaritan house provides for those in need and an opportunity to get a job and housing.
Your donation will help those individuals at the Samaritan House. The Samaritan house provides not only food & shelter, but also counseling to individuals. In turn, this provides building blocks to help them move towards becoming independent in society. They take in both single men and women. They also have places for families with children. It's truly an amazing shelter and organization!
Last year with COVID, 2021, the Samaritan House provided:
125,000 shelter nights provided
836 beds each night in Denver
30,000 volunteer hours at Samaritan House
$1.76 average cost per meal at Samaritan House
We are so blessed to have places like the Samaritan House. The government cannot take care of the homeless. Thus, it's only through our donations and time that make a difference. Please donate and help the Samaritan House continue their mission, to provide food, shelter, socialization and hope for the future, for the homeless.
