Samaritan Cycling - Ride The Rockies 2022
6-6-2022
In 1 week, I will begin my 12th consecutive year riding for my health with the added benefit of raising money and awareness of the "Homelessness Situation". As an engineer by degree, I want to fix the problem, but as I learn mor and more, I think more and more about the biblical line :
"The poor will always be with us"
Here is a quote I found recently from Martin Luther King Jr:
"A true revolution of values will soon cause us to question the fairness and justice of many of our past and present policies. On the one hand we are called to play the Good Samaritan on life’s roadside, but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho Road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life’s highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring."
Thanks to your generous contributions, Samaritan Cycling HAS restructured the edifice for some.... it is more than very complicated, but I have personally spent time with people at the Samaritan Shelter on 23rd and Lawrence, and I invite you to do that WITH ME!
We were proud to accept the Courtney Seaman Award last year, on behalf of ALL riders who have ever ridden on Team Samaritan House, and ALL who have donated time, talent and treasure to help others!.
Check this video out that my nephew Adam Dawkins and other friends and family members put together:

SO -- Andre is gettign a knee replacement in August, so I'm lone wolf once again on my bike, still riding to help others.
Once again, I’m inviting you to give, but only if you feel this is something that is right and if you are able. Team Samaritan House now has expanded to:
Ø Samatritan Cycling
Ø Samaritan Runners
Ø Samaritan Walkers
Feel free to join one of our teams if you would like to meet good people and to help others.
