"Helping one person might not change the whole world,
but it could change the world for one person."
One good thing about obstacles & challenges: You find out that you're capable of being far more than you ever thought possible. For me, those words ring so true, I never realized how strong I was until being strong was the only choice I had. As most of you know, my recent journey has been paved with... love, family, faith, pain, laughter, complications, courage, setbacks, perseverance, resilience and hope. But through it all comes such strength & determination to not only be kind & caring, but to always keep those dreams alive!
TEAM SAMARITAN HOUSE'S (TSH) MISSION is to help raise awareness and money for those experiencing homelessness, especially now in the midst of a global pandemic. I will again be cycling 400+ mile in the Colorado Rockies Mountains the 2nd week of June with Team Samaritan House. I can't even imagine experiencing homelessness: living in the street, cold, hungry, not knowing where your next meal will come from, moving between temporary shelters, unable to provide and maintain a safe and secure nurturing environment for yourself or your family.
My TSH teammates provide such amazing support & inspiration. Yes, there are ‘Angels on Earth’, and within this group I have many “Angels” who touched my life in ways that I could never have imagined. There is something so special about this group, not only their dedication & drive for a cause greater than themselves, but their compassion for each other and strangers alike, all woven together with such faith and kindness. A team that I am proud to say I'm a part of again this year!
It's so easy to forget how precious it is to just be at HOME, but not everyone has a HOME, that's why we are riding for the homeless!
Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause and thank you in advance for sharing your good fortune with others.
May God bless you,
CAROLYN
