I am going for it!
Hello friends and family,
As many of you know I have been battling a malignant brain tumor since December 2018. Things have gone so much better than originally thought and I am grateful for every day. I have been feeling well and as I have done many years in the past, I want to complete Ride the Rockies again this year. I will be joining Samaritan Cycling and raising money for the homeless. This group of riders are amazing in their commitment to cycling and helping others.
If I have learned anything these past 2 plus years, it is that you've got to take every moment as if it is your last. Let no grass grow!
With the help of my wife Kellie as my personal soigneur, I feel confidant about this challenge. The ride is 6 days long, June 13th-18th. The weather has been getting nice in Montana and I have been out on the road training. I have been riding indoors on my trainer and it feels good to be outside again. There are many roads that I can get out on safely and managed to find some hils too! Full disclosure, Kellie is also my secretary as writing is hard for me. We will keep you updated on my progress as the week goes along.
Please check out the link for RTR. If you happen to be in Colorado during this time and close to where we are riding, catch up with the ride. It always goes thru the best parts of Colorado and we'd love to see you. It is amazing to see all the riders, tents and how this ride is organized. It is one of the best.

I will end with asking you for a donation to help with this cause. It feels good to be able to help those less fortunate than myself. Samaritan Cycling is a community of individuals that love to cycle and help others. Their goal is providing those experiencing homelessness with all that they need and an opportunity to get back on their feet.
Thank you in advance for your financial support! Any amount helps.
Hope to see you out on the road!
Luis
