Welcome to My Personal Page - Roger Adams

Having raised $1M in the first nine years Team Samaritan House is back for 2020 to celebrate a decade of raising awareness of Denver's homeless problem and money!
We have been riding in groups, until the pandemic forced us to ride individually. We hope to have about 55 ride for the tenth year in Ride the Rockies, if we are allowed to ride. This year was start in Durango, CO, ride west then north then east and finally over the infamous Red Mountain Pass and other mountain passes back to Durango. This year's RtR is scheduled for June 14th for a week of riding, ending June 19, for about 420 miles and nearly 30,000 feet in elevation gain!
But not all is lost if RtR is cancelled. We are riding, flying the TSH flag on our jerseys for our Denver neighbors who are less fortunate and ... homeless. Already in 2020 I have ridden 140 miles in April, and nearly 500 miles in the first quarter. I plan to increase my riding from about 100 miles per week to about 200 miles per week before summer, and my TSH brothers and sisters plan to fly the TSH flags on our rides all summer, ending with a 180-mile two-day RSVP ride (Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party) with a group of about ten TSH riders before returning to Colorado for the Tour of the Moon ride in Grand Junction in the fall.
This is my fourth year on TSH. Each rider is seeking to raise at least $1,500; my starting goal is $2,000. With every dollar donated, I will be motivated to ride more mile for my training.
Our team is dedicated to helping the homeless by calling attention to the many in our world who do not have a home. I have a wonderful home that I love to share, but not everyone is as privileged as I am. So as I raise money for the four homeless shelters operated by Catholic Charities of Colorado, I take every opportunity to visit the shelters, to donate warm clothes and bedding, to volunteer my legal counseling skills -- I am hopeful it benefits those in need.
As you consider an amount to donate, consider your bank account and consider how much YOU will benefit by following God's directive to work hard and to assist those less fortunate than ourselves! Since I joined TSH a bit over three years ago, I've often thought of the old saying ... There but for the Grace of God Go I. Please be generous to those less fortunate as God directed us to do.
Thank you for your consideration and support. God Bless You and Yours! - Roger
