Tom Dea's Personal Page

Dear Friends:
I’m preparing for my 9th consecutive Ride the Rockies and my 3rd consecutive year leading Andre Van Hall on the Tandem. Andre continues to amaze me with his positive attitude, and we have become great friends.

I can’t imagine what I would do if I went blind and then the blindness was followed up with stage 4 cancer. Andre has an amazing story and he is now a professional motivational speaker. That said, we sometimes tell eachother to shut up and just pedal…
Last year my college buddy Luis Bernardez retired and rode with us and despite being found with a malignant glioblastoma, Luis is living life to the fullest and joining us again for the week.
So, I’m once again inviting you to help those less fortunate – With your help, our team has raised over $700,000 the past 8 years and this year we hope to eclipse the million-dollar mark. We are positively impacting people’s lives and I see it firsthand.

We continue to grow in numbers and this year we will again be the largest team represented on Ride The Rockies. MORE IMPORTANTLY, we are helping more and more people every year. I invite you to learn more about that and I would be proud to take you on a tour at any Samaritan Shelter along the Front Range.
We have assembled a team, and I am always willing to add YOU to our Team!
The tour will be June 9-16 – A loop from Crested Buttte – Gunnison – Buena Vista – Carbondale – Snowmass – Hotchkiss – Gunnison – Crested Butte.

Included in the “shelter system” is Samaritan House which supplies close to 25% of the shelter housing available to families in the Denver area; The NEW Samaritan House Women’s Shelter; and The Mission and Guadalupe Shelter which serves men, women, and children in Larimer and Weld country, respectively.
It is hard to believe how generous my friends and family have been
throughout the years –if you feel like donating to a good cause, no amount is too little. THANKS FOR SUPPORTING OTHERS
