Welcome to Kerry Lutz's Ride the Rockies Fundraising Page

Hello! The last time I set up an online fundraiser I was preparing to drive a wee Yellow Submarine car to Mongolia. I can say with reasonable certainty that I will never do anything that crazy again, but I WILL be cycling 450ish miles through the Rocky Mountains June 9-15! The event, Ride the Rockies, has been going on for many years, but this will be my first real foray into the curious world of long-distance cycling. The 2019 route is as follows: Crested Butte - Gunnison - Buenavista - Snowmass - Carbondale - Hotchkiss - Gunnison - Crested Butte.
My team, Team Samaritan House, is in its 9th year at Ride the Rockies. All of the funds we raise go directly to the shelter services at Catholic Charities, where I work. Like a lot of rapidly growing cities, Denver's homeless population has exploded in recent years, and it's heartbreaking. Catholic Charities runs shelters in Denver, Fort Collins, and Greeley designed to support families, single men and women, veterans, and seniors experiencing homelessness. Last year Team Samaritan House raised over $300,000! On a personal note, Ride the Rockies means a lot to me because so much of the last ten years has been shaped by a series of sports injuries and my June 2018 car accident. I am unbelievably thrilled to have a team and an athletic outlet again! Thank you for your support.
