One Team, One Dream!! - Tom Schwein

Dear Friends,
For the 8th consecutive year, Team Samaritan House will once again participate in Ride the Rockies, the premier cycling event in Colorado. Over the past 7 years, our cycling team has raised over $500,000 to provide food, clothing and shelter the homeless of Colorado.
We have also expanded the team and will have nearly 90 men and women on Team Samaritan House this year, and the team will be participating in all the major cycling events in Colorado during the 2018 cycling season.
Our 2018 team goal is to raise $250,000 for homeless shelters. Our goal is to achieve the $1.0 million fundraising mark in the next two years.
Some of you may not know my story. Nearing the finish line of Ride the Rockies in 2015, I crashed face first at 30 miles per hour. The statistics are bad. 50 out of 100 riders crashing like I did die at the scene, another 48 end up with some sort of permanent brain damage. Only 2 effectively "walk away". I am one of the lucky ones, and I believe God spared me, and that I am still here on earth because my mission is not yet completed.
I sincerely appreciate all of you who have donated to our cause over the past seven years, but I come to you again and ask for your generous support. Remember, you are not doing this for me, but for those in need.
Saint Teresa of Calcutta said "Not all of us can do great things. But all of us can do small things with great love."
God bless you for your generous support!
Tom Schwein
